Don’t Look, Issue 1

November 1st, 2006 · No Comments

Not that the “sneak peek weekend” was all that sneak peeky, but today is the official publication date for Don’t Look. A little less than a year ago, I dreamt up this idea of portable literature - something that would be available anywhere in the world and could go anywhere in the world. And I couldn’t swing a dead yippie dog without hitting some extraordinarily talented person in need of a break.

Welcome to our little experiment. With only eight pages and a webpage, we’re hoping to prove that the portability of literature doesn’t promote circulation. No one cares about art. No one wants to see it flourish.

Prove us wrong. Leave our little minizine in places you know people might read it: coffee houses, music shops, libraries, student unions, bars, pubs, train stations, taxi cabs, bus stops, etc. Let’s see how many people we can get reading this thing.

We dare you.
